San Jose's Juneteenth in the Park is a family celebration of the history, culture, heritage and arts of African Americans. Juneteenth is a special holiday that celebrates the emancipation of slavery in the United States. Today, we celebrate through a community-based Festival that embraces rich traditions and is committed to providing cultural experiences. As of 2007, San Jose was host to the largest Juneteenth Celebration in the Nation!

The two (2) day Festival will attract a local (Northern California) audience of more than 30,000 visitors. Embracing a spirit of community, the Festival will include specific areas for children, education, visual arts, vendors, entertainment, and community organizations.
